About the 390th Bomb Group (Heavy)

Based in Parham, England, the 390th Bombardment Group (H) flew 301 combat missions against German military targets. It played an important role in many missions now recognized as key to winning WWII such as D-Day, Munster, Schweinfurt, and the raid on Berlin. It also participated in lesser-known humanitarian missions in which the B-17 was utilized to drop supplies and food.

This site was created in dedication to all the members of the 390th Bomb Group who have risked their life in the fight for our freedom. We wish to preserve the history of the 390th Heavy Bombardment Group and its role in WWll, as well as help others in their search.

This site is for all members of the390th Bomb Group, their family, friends, old acquaintances, civilian support workers, foreign military, generally anybody that had anything to do with the 390th, as well as anyone else with an interest or background that is relative to the people of this site.
